My Life as a Zucchini, Best Feature Film at the Emile Awards 2017


Over 1000 participants attended the first ceremony of the Emile Awards organized by the European Animation Awards association, in Lille on Friday 8 December.

Pitched at Cartoon Movie 2015, the stop motion feature film “My Life has a Zucchini” by Claude Barras won the The best Feature Film (Best Director) Emile Award 2017.

“My Life has a Zucchini” won also the two following prices: Best Writing in a Feature Film Emile Award 2017 (screenplay by Céline Sciamma) and Best Soundtrack in a Feature Film Emile Award 2017 (music by Sophie Hunger).

Pitched at Cartoon Movie 2013, “Ernest and Celestine” by Benjamin Renner won the Best Background and Character Design in a TV/Broadcast Production Emile Award 2017.

For its part,“The Red Turtle” by Michael Dudok de Wit also did well and won two prices: the Best Character Animation and the Best Storyboard in a Feature Film Emile Award 2017.
