Spanish public broadcaster RTVE supports new animation series
The Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (RTVE) has announced the projects that have been selected for co-production as part of its children's animation series call for proposals. According to the pubcaster, the selection has considered “originality, competitiveness and innovation”. The announcement was made in Toulouse during the 28th Cartoon Forum --the co-production platform for European animated series-- and all the projects aimed at children aged 4-10 .
Two of the selected titles have been internationally presented at Cartoon Forum and the Cartoon 360:
- “Dinogames”, an adventure series developed by Barcelona-based studio Dream Team Concept that was launched at the Forum’s current edition
- "Pumpkin Reports”, a CGI series created by Motion Pictures presented in 2010 at Cartoon Forum Sopron, Hungary
- "Tutu", an adventure series by Ficción Producciones pitched in 2015 at Cartoon 360 Barcelona, Spain
- "Yoko", an adventure series by Somuga and Dibulitoon presented in 2015 at Cartoon 360, Barcelona, Spain
RTVE’s support also includes three new series (“Happy Fierce” by Uniko, “Flo and the Brave” by Ánima Kitchen, and “Adventures in the Tree House” by Keytoon Animation Studio), and other three that are preparing their second seasons and have the channel already on board (“Challenge Champions” by Produccions d´empatia Digital).
RTVE has six television channels, including Clan TV, Spain’s biggest kids digital terrestrial channel.
