The Coaching Programme: involving young talents to train the new generation

As each year, a coaching programme is organised, bringing together students from the Region’s animation schools. For the first time, students in animation from the spotlight region participate to the same Coaching Programme than the Region’s students, as Wallonia-Brussels is the French-speaking part of Belgium.

This formation’s initiative gives the opportunity to 106 students to discover the animation industry and the challenges linked with the launch of a project. Supporting the future animation’s professionals is one of the goal of Cartoon Forum.

During the day, students have the opportunity to discover the presentations of Luc Camilli (Xbo films / La Ménagerie), Jean–François Tosti (TAT productions) and Agnès Bizzaro (Coaching Programme):

  • Presentation of the Cartoon Forum & of the European Association of European Film: Cartoon
by Luc Camilli and Jean-François Tosti.
  • "The Jungle Bunch” adventure: creation and development of a license through the prism of production / business
    by Jean-François Tosti.
  • One project at Cartoon Forum: from the development of an animation series project to its pitch
    by Luc Camilli
  • The importance of making a good pitch and the tips to achieve it
    by Agnès Bizzaro

This training day provides an introduction to the keys to success in the animation sector.

On Thursday, there will be a mini-pitch workshop at Toulouse Business School where animation students from the Region will pitch 6 selected project.

We hope that the coaching programme will inspire management students and students in the arts field to work together to create new production structures.
