“Princess Arabella” is a series for 4-7-years-old children about a temperamental little princess who lives with her parents, her dog Ziggy, her Omi, and three valets in a large palace in a country which consists only of palaces, castles and purveyors to the court.
Arabella is a little princess with brown skin and her friends, all princes and princesses, look Chinese or African or European. Their appearance is a given and plays no role in the stories.
Beneath their princely clothes they are ordinary children dealing with typical children-issues like having fun, jealousy, sulking if they don’t get their way, or falling in love with the new prince next door.
