This is the smallest story ever told. A story no bigger than half a millimetre, which is roughly the size of the protagonist. Tardy is a tardigrade youngster and, like any tardigrade, the only animal able to survive in outer space. Our microscopic hero embarks on an interplanetary journey in search of his ancestors: on board a meteorite the size of a grain of sand, he arrives on Earth in The World of Below, which is where the story begins. Following Tardy’s adventures, we come to understand that you can be brave even if you are small and helpless, we learn that friends are the most important thing in life and we discover the world from a point of view that no one has ever shown us before.
