Coaching Programme: Involving young talents from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region to train the new generation.

DARE TO CREATE AND TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR

Each year, we invite around 90 students from animation schools of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region to participate in the Coaching Programme during Cartoon Movie. Being still a student, the animation industry can seem intimidating to approach, so it is important to give these young people the keys to understand how it works, to open up new perspectives for them: “Yes, it is possible to start a project, even if you are a complete beginner”. It is crucial to inspire them to follow the path other creators have successfully followed before them.

That’s the reason why the Coaching Programme is organized around presentations where students can listen to young or experienced producers and creators telling the story of the genesis of their very first projects, the launch of their production company or their specific experience in this or that area.

The students have then access to all the project pitches of Cartoon Movie – giving them a very concrete vision of how a project is carried by its creators before finding the way to production, until its release in the cinema theatre. It is also a great opportunity for them to mingle and network with animation professionals from all over Europe. A final debriefing sequence allows them to meet at the end of the event to discuss the programme, what they have discovered and what they will take away from it.
